About Me

I am a newly retired first-grade teacher in the beautiful state of Colorado. I taught for 32 years (17 of those in 1st grade.) Watching my students learn and grow was such a blessing for me, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned over the years with you.  I am a Green Bay Packers fan and was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Go Pack!

You can’t tell in this photo, but behind the sunglasses, I’m in tears! This is at the end of my last day of teaching. I had just said goodbye to my last group of first graders and it was more difficult than I expected.

I am a proud mom of two wonderful men.  Bryce (on right) is a full-time zookeeper at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, and Tyler (left) is a lawyer in Tucson, AZ. My husband is a retired high school principal who helps me design and create teaching resources.

Since we’ve retired, my husband Steve and I sold our home and bought a motorhome to travel around the country while creating new primary resources for you. It has been a dream come true.

Here’s Steve driving our motorhome. That’s when you really see him smile. 🙂
