This BOOM deck provides an introduction to telling time and the concept of what time is. This deck can be used whole group, small group, or with partners to introduce, teach, discuss, and review the concept of time and the tools used to tell time. It provides a foundation needed prior to teaching how to tell time on a clock. This deck provides opportunities for students to THINK, PAIR, and SHARE with other students.

Please Note: This BOOM deck does not drill and practice telling time to the hour or to the half hour. It is an overview of terms, tools, and concepts required for telling time. Posters (anchor charts) are included on many of the cards for the teacher to read and discuss with students.

BOOM Learning cards are a fun and exciting way to practice many skills. They are self-checking and also have the option to provide reports to the teacher, so you can see how your students are performing. Students get immediate feedback, and teachers get feedback as well. They work on tablets, computers, Smartboards, Kindles, and more.

WHAT IS NEEDED:
To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a FREE for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you’ll need a premium account.
