Description
This behavior management technique is a great way to promote best behavior in your classroom!
Secretly select a student each day or a couple times a day during transition times or independent work times. Tell the students you are watching the secret student for overall good behavior, including following directions and rules. At the end of the day or transition time, if the secret student was well behaved, reveal that student’s name and reward them with a Secret Student Award to take home! You could also have that student move a clip up or another behavior managment reward that you have in place. If the secret student struggled with behavior, the student’s name is not revealed and you can remind the class about your daily expectations and that you are ready to reward the Secret Student every day!
