Fry Words Fluency Speed Drills for First 300 Fry Sight Words

Description

Parents LOVE to get these weekly sight word fluency drills (focus boards) sent home at the beginning of each week so they can practice sight words daily with their children. Use during guided reading groups and/or centers. If students master their sight words each week, they are well on their way to reading more fluently!

Included are 300 Fry Words. The intended purpose for these drills is for students to read and re-read the sight words in random order to commit them to memory. Another reader should follow along for accountability.

These can be printed off on a special color (so it stands out for parents) and sent home at the beginning of each week for students to practice. Instructions are listed on the bottom of each page and can be highlighted to draw parents’ attention. These drills or focus boards can also be used as a center activity with a partner or as a warm-up activity each day.
