*One of my teammates inherited this poinsettia craft project from her mother who hand-drew the pieces in the early ’90s, so it is very special to us!

What Teachers say about this Poinsettia Craft:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These turned out beautiful. I pre-glittered the top petal to send home. We cut and glued them during distance learning and they all look fabulous. Students really enjoyed this project and I still see many of the poinsettias hanging in their homes 🙂 -La Colita de Rana

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I LOVE this activity. These poinsettias are so pretty. I used it with my second graders and they made a beautiful display in our commons area. I recently moved to the middle school, and decided to have my students create these poinsettias. They were very creative and again, we created a beautiful display in our hallway. Thank you! -Staci B.

This craft is a perfect supplemental project for lessons on the Legend of the Poinsettia (Los Posadas) and Christmas in Mexico.
Print poinsettia leaves and petals directly onto construction paper (leaves on green paper and petals on red) or other paper. Have students assemble according to included directions. Coloring with red and green crayons helps to give the flower petals and leaves a soft look.
