Puppets make reading fluency practice more INTERACTIVE and FUN. Definitely one of our 1st grade favorites! Perfect for Fall and Back to School. Use the Little Brown Squirrel Puppet to help tell the cute story about a Squirrel trying to hide a nut. Teach positional / directional words and following directions. The Little Brown Squirrel goes down a tree, through the woods, over a tree stump, around a skunk, and digs into the ground and under a leaf pile. Store the puppet in the paper pocket that is glued to the back of the book cover (paper pocket template included or use a library book pocket). Watch your students read it over and over again!
