Veterans Day:
Private Penny is perfect for Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Flag Day, and learning or reviewing United States symbols. Use the Private Penny Puppet to help tell the cute story about Private Penny visiting symbols of the U.S. around the country! Students can the puppet in the paper pocket that is glued to the back of the book cover (paper pocket template included or use a library book pocket). Watch your students read it over and over again!
World Kindness Day:
Celebrated on November 13th every year, World Kindness Day is one of my favorite days of the year!

Thanksgiving:
If I’m being honest, Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday. In the classroom, I love to highlight family, traditions, and being thankful for what is around us. Whether you are out of school all week, have school Monday and Tuesday, or go all the way through Wednesday, I have some ideas to keep your students engaged, learning, and of course, on theme. 🙂 Click on the images for links to the products.
My students LOVE to play Bingo and connect the images with the verbal clues I give them. We play regular, corners, and then blackout! It’s so fun.
The Big Pack is a combination of so many literacy, math, and writing activities. Plus some freebies!
