This packet also includes writing paper to send letters to the white house and a few years ago we sent our letters off and received mail back!

My students were so excited that Obama received our letters and they were able to hear back from him. See what he sent to our classroom below!

If you can’t read this picture this is what he told my students,

Dear Students:

Thank you for writing, and for recognizing Presidents’ Day. Hearing from young people like you inspires me each and every day, and I am glad you took the time to share your thoughts. As a nation, we have no higher priority than making sure the doors of opportunity are wide open for you and your generation. And as your President, that is a promise I will never stop working to keep. In the years ahead always remember that nothing is beyond your reach as long as you are willing to dream big and work hard. If you stay focused on your education, I know there are no limits to what you can achieve.

Thank you, again, for your kind note. I wish you all the best.

How amazing is that? My students sure loved this and I was so happy to share his words of wisdom with my students!
