Time to print off and get ready for one of our absolute favorite projects! Our Santa Advent Calendar.
This Santa Advent Calendar is originally from the ’90s, but has remained a 1st grade favorite every December! This template was originally hand drawn by one of our 1st grade teaher’s mom decades ago, but luckily it’s still super easy to follow and cut out!
It’s the end of November and the first thing I do is pull out my sample and announce it’s time to make our advent calendars. You can really feel the excitement, and my students are so excited to get started!
See what teachers like you are saying:
We do a calendar with art each month. This was perfect for December. My students couldn’t wait to take it home and start counting down the days until Christmas.Lynn S.
My students are enjoying this daily activity that we do together during zoom as we count down to Christmas.Lisa S.
As always with 1st grade, each Santa is unique and precious.
It really only took about 30 minutes to complete all Advent Calendars!
Once completed, they are ready to hang on the wall, and add a cotton ball for each day! Without a doubt, it’s always so hard to tell them they can’t take them home quite yet…but as each day in December goes by and his beard gets fuller and fuller that means the holiday break is right around the corner!
